Department of Zoology, University of Chitral
holds third meeting of its board of studies on 23rd October 2025.
The meeting was chaired by convenor Mr. Fathul Bari, Head of the department,
and started with the recitation of the holy Quran and welcome note from the
chair. The meeting was attended by internal members from the department of
Zoology, UoCh, and subject experts from other universities and affiliated
colleges.

Room included Dr. Shah Fahad Ali Khan, Mr. Saif Ullah, Ms. Mehrun Nisa, Prof.
Aman Shah. External members participated online and contributed valuable
insights, including Dr. Tanzil Ur Rehman, Assistant Professor Center for Animal
Science and Fisheries, Dr. Kamran Khan (Lecturer, Department of Zoology, SBBU,
Sheringal), Ms. Fatima Bibi, Mr. Nizam Ud Din and Mr. Rahmat Khalique
participated as co-opted members.
Board reviewed the proposed scheme of studies
for Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Associate Degree in Zoology. In depth
discussion followed the presentation of the agenda items and members provided
their valuable feedback during the session. The Board unanimously approved the
revised courses for the undergraduate degree programs in accordance with the HEC
Undergraduate and Graduate Policy and revised curriculum of Zoology (2025). The
new scheme of studies will be implemented from fall 2025 for Bachelor of
Science in Zoology at the University of Chitral, BS Zoology and Associate
Degree Program in affiliated colleges subject to approval from the Academic
council of the university of Chitral.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks
from the chair, the chair expressed sincere gratitude to all members for their
time, guidance, and valuable feedback, which will be essential in enhancing the
department's academic programs.
