From January 15 to January 21, 2025, five faculty members from the University of Chitral—Dr. Rizwan Ullah (Assistant Professor), Dr. Yasir Arafat (Deputy Director QEC), Dr. Saif Ul Mujahid Shah (Assistant Professor), Mr. Saif Ullah (Lecturer), and Ms. Naila Hussain (Lecturer)—participated in the Rethinking Teaching Workshop (RTT) organized by Aga Khan University, Karachi.
This transformative workshop brought together participants from various universities, fostering collaboration and innovation in teaching practices. Over the course of the four days, the participants engaged in structured sessions focusing on key areas of course design and delivery:
* Day 1: Designing concepts and topics for course outlines. • Day 2: Developing effective and measurable learning outcomes. • Day 3: Exploring innovative assessment strategies. • Day 4: Crafting impactful instructional strategies.
The workshop concluded with an engaging activity where each participant delivered a 90-second pitch presenting their newly designed course outlines.
The University of Chitral faculty actively participated in every stage of the workshop, gaining valuable insights and skills to enhance their teaching methods. This enriching experience is expected to be shared with fellow faculty members, contributing to the advancement of teaching practices at the University of Chitral. With support and mentorship from the Aga Khan University team, the University of Chitral will launch its own RTT Workshop for faculty members in 2025.
