Mr. Azmat Ullah
and Ms. Sara Nawaz, Students of BS Education represented the University of Chitral
and participated in the National Training Organized by The Friedrich Ebert
Foundation. The Training spanning over a week was held at the University of
Peshawar Summer Campus Baragali. The training was organized on the themes of
Just Transition, Climate and Social Justice.
The students
expressed their satisfaction about the training program and exposure in
providing invaluable insight into the complex relationships between climate
change, social justice, and just transition. It created a strong realization
about the global issue of climate change and its disproportionate impacts on
the marginalized communities. It further emphasized on just transition as a
crucial framework for an inclusive shift to a sustainable future to tackle the
complex links between social justice and climate justice.
The University of Chitral commends the zealous
participation of our students and representing their alma mater at the national
level. The cooperation of the organizers is also appreciated.
